Greetings, aspiring wizards of the e-commerce realm! 🧙‍♂️✨ Welcome to a magical career opportunity unlike any other. If you ever dreamt of combining the charm of the wizarding world with the dynamic excitement of e-commerce, you’ve stumbled upon the perfect portkey. Here at Smarteck, we don’t just hire employees; we’re recruiting a new class of wizards to join our spellbinding team.

We’ve built a fortress—not of stone and mortar, but of creativity, teamwork, and unyielding standards. Just like in any enchanted academy, our learning curve resembles a spiral staircase in a magical tower: it might be steep at first, but the view from the top is magnificent. We offer a unique experience where work feels like an adventurous quest and your colleagues are your fellowship. No need to have your wand at the ready or know all the spells by heart—we’re looking for wizards-in-training who are eager to learn the craft.

Without further ado, let the Sorting Hat—err, we mean, our job description—guide you through what it’s like to be an Ecommerce Wizard at Smarteck.

The ideal wizard-in-training is dependable, takes initiative, is willing to learn new processes, has a high level of integrity and hopefully passes a background check!

The wizards routine tasks will range from:

• Filling customer orders by packaging items for direct shipping (the customers order made our day, its time for us to make theirs)!
• Corresponding with customers via magic to address questions or complaints about products (someone’s got to do it, dont worry, you can always ask for help).
• Determine and set product prices – OK, we wont let you do this on day 1, but we’ll get you there! We have a fun story about this!
• Compose descriptions of products for posting to online storefront, auction sites, or other shopping Web sites (no bad words, spells just don’t work well if kids cant read them out loud to their parents).
• Compose images of products, using video or still cameras (no selfies, unless you are OK with us drawing a wizard hat on you or dressing you in a cape).
• Upload digital media, such as photos, & videos to online storefront, auction sites, or other shopping Web sites. Listen! if you can take a picture with an iPhone, you got this! No Androids! Wait . . . she just said, we have to allow Androids, something about an all-inclusive workplace!
• Cancel orders based on customer requests or inventory or delivery problems – What? They cancelled, not as described? Really? It’s OK, we give full refunds! We have a LOT of stories about this!
• Maintain inventory of shipping supplies, such as boxes, labels, tape, bubble wrap, loose packing materials, or tape guns. Yes, there is bubble wrap, LOTS of it! All Wizards love bubble wrap!
• Basic Technology Skills (G-Suite / MS Office – Word & Excel). This is easy!
• This is not an all-inclusive list, and additional activities, duties or responsibilities maybe required, this is why you are going to be a Wizard!

Existing Wizarding Skills Preferred but NOT Required

• Complex Problem Solving — Identifying complex puzzles and reviewing related scrolls & potions to discover, or develop new solutions.
• Enterprising Wizards frequently start-up and carry out projects on their own based on improvements needed at the castle. These projects can involve creating new spells (processes) or making new magical things (products). Sometimes they require risk taking (if you are feeling risky we might even let you use the bubble maker, or the package wrapper. Risk Averse? Thats OK, you can watch us make bubbles!).
• Read & Writing English – Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents. If you are reading this, you are Muy Bueno!
• Speaking some Spanglish like the Chief Wizard is a PLUS. Don’t worry if you know the words Cajas, QuePaso & Jefe, you are good to go!

Who this is NOT for:

• You don’t like solving problems (learn this, it’s a super power)
• You don’t work well in a team (3 wizards in training, can change the world – did you not watch Harry Potter?)
• You don’t consider yourself to be resourceful.
• You are not able to deadlift or squat 50lbs! Some 7 year olds weigh 50lbs, its really not that hard!
• Growth & Learning are not a top priority for you. Just cause you didn’t like math in high-school, doesn’t mean you don’t like learning, you are just a different kind of learner.
